Our training staff has many decades of combined experience and includes two IICRC certified Applied Structural Drying (ASD) instructors. There are only 17 of these instructors in the entire country!

Paul Davis University takes place in our state-of-the-art training facility in Jacksonville, FL. Over 1600 students attend our IICRC, (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) training annually and prepare to help people in their time of need. The best restoration training is attained through hands-on experiences, so we have designed a “flood house” that is flooded with over 1500 gallons of water and provides plenty of real-life learning opportunities. This house is constructed to the precise specifications set forth by the IICRC to provide the most in-depth training possible. Paul Davis team members learn the essential process of drying every component of a home. We ensure our franchise owners and their teams have the professional training necessary to help customers and uphold the Paul Davis brand.
State Of The Art Flood House
The Flood House training module is the centerpiece of the Paul Davis National Training Center.
The full-scale residential structure is built within the new facility and is a fully-functioning 1,700 square foot home. It has a bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom. The house includes furniture, appliances, several flooring types, decorations, and electronics.
The Flood House has space for practice activities that give students realistic experiences to learn restoration techniques. As part of the IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) course and others, the house can be completely flooded with thousands of gallons of water under controlled circumstances. The house can withstand being flooded and dried completely over 200 times, without needing major structural repairs or replacement.
Because of the careful design of the Flood House, students learn how water affects different materials, including carpet, drywall, wood, and tile. They learn the science of how the materials dry. From this strong foundation, they then learn how to use scientific methods and the latest equipment to dry structures in as little as three days.
